Stage Entertainment is a leading global producer and theatre operator, attracting 7 million people to their musicals each year.

Trends indicated a critical shift towards the discovery of content via AI platforms. We wanted to review Stage’s visibility, positioning and opportunities, as LLMs were beginning to threaten traffic from traditional SERP channels.

We treated AI systems as discovery engines, analysing how ChatGPT and others present Stage versus competitors. Using Semrush, we mapped cross-platform AI Sentiment and Share of Voice to understand brand perception and response discovery beyond traditional SEO. These insights informed a content strategy engineered for AI optimisation, combining multimodal assets, structured data, citation discovery, and UGC outreach.

This disruptive approach challenges conventional search - displaying curated responses to influence the user versus a list of links for self-discovery.

Listening to users' inputs, influencing AI signals, and challenging AI outputs directly shaped our approach to a new form of influencing information discovery.

AI outputs were cross-checked across multiple platforms to minimise model bias and reduce the risk of misinformation shaping recommendations.

Competitive insights were handled objectively, avoiding speculation, and ensuring fair representation.

Our resulting strategic recommendations prioritised web accessibility and a promise to deliver on inclusive user experiences. By positioning AI as a transparent, advisory tool rather than a definitive authority, we maintained responsibility, fairness, and alignment with ethical standards throughout the initiative.
